Palmetto Health Quality Collaborative, a clinically integrated health care organization with an anticipated membership of 400 physicians, was created in 2010 as part of the strategy of Palmetto Health to align the acute care hospital system with the medical staff and community physicians in an effort to improve the quality and coordination of care and medical services to our patient population. All physicians who are members in good standing with Palmetto Health are invited to join. As a hybrid medical staff, this includes physicians who are direct employees of Palmetto Health, under contract with Palmetto Health, members of the faculty of the University of South Carolina School of Medicine, and community physicians.
